Dealing with soft tissue repair or replacement currently relies on synthetic and biological grafts or the patient donating their own tissue - approaches that face significant challenges, including donor dependency, rejection risk, and scarring.
We have created a unique implant, enabling the body to heal itself. Designed to reinforce or replace damaged tissue, the implant restores normal function and seamlessly integrates into the body, ultimately absorbing to leave only the patient’s own healed tissue.
Whilst there are a large number of possible applications, our initial target market is urethral stricture (narrowing) which affects up to a million patients a year in the US. The current gold-standard procedure involves open surgery and the harvesting of a patient's own inner mouth tissue for grafting. Simpler endoscopic treatments have up to 80% failure rates.
Regenosca has already performed in-vitro, animal, and human trials with excellent success and perfect regrowth of the patients’ own tissue.
