Regenosca launches the STAMP Project to advance manufacturing of TissueSpan
Lausanne, Switzerland – September 12, 2025 – Regenosca is pleased to announce the launch of STAMP, a collaborative innovation project funded by the NPR (Nouvelle Politique Régionale) of the Canton of Fribourg.
The STAMP project addresses a key challenge in medical device development: the scalable, safe, and reproducible manufacturing of advanced bioabsorbable implants. Through STAMP, Regenosca aims to develop an innovative single‑use mold system for the production of its TissueSpan platform, designed to promote natural soft‑tissue healing without the need for autologous tissue harvesting or permanent synthetic materials.
The project brings together a strong consortium of academic and industrial partners. Regenosca collaborates closely with HEIA‑FR, leveraging the expertise of the Institute of Applied Plastic Research and the Biofactory Competence Center, alongside industrial partners Mecaplast, Medistri, and Confinis. Together, the consortium is co‑developing manufacturing solutions aligned with cleanroom production, regulatory expectations, and future clinical translation.
STAMP aims to streamline the production of TissueSpan by improving process robustness, reducing contamination risk, and ensuring high product consistency – critical steps toward industrial readiness and upcoming clinical milestones. The outcomes of the project will support Regenosca’s path toward clinical deployment while strengthening regional manufacturing know‑how and collaboration.
